⅓ cup reduced sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
Optional: 2-3 teaspoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon granulated garlic
½ teaspoon ground ginger
Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the cold water and cornstarch until smooth.
- Add the soy sauce and toasted sesame oil to the mixture and whisk until well combined.
- If desired, stir in brown sugar, granulated garlic, ground ginger, and crushed red pepper flakes for added flavor.
- Bring the mixture to a heat on a saucepan over medium heat until it thickens, stirring constantly.
- Use the sauce immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
