Description
These Air Fryer Blueberry Donuts are light, fluffy, and bursting with juicy blueberries. Perfect for a sweet breakfast or as an afternoon treat!
Ingredients
All-purpose flour
Granulated sugar
Baking powder
Fine sea salt
Whole milk
Large egg
Melted unsalted butter
Pure vanilla extract
Fresh blueberries
Powdered sugar
Additional milk (for glaze)
Vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and fine sea salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the whole milk, large egg, melted unsalted butter, and pure vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries, ensuring they are coated with a little flour to prevent sinking.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Spoon the donut batter into a donut mold, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Air fry the donuts for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- While the donuts cool, make the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar, additional milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze and let the excess drip off. Place them on a cooling rack to set the glaze.
Notes
For a lighter texture, consider using cake flour instead of all-purpose flour. You can substitute the milk and butter with dairy-free alternatives if needed.
