Ingredients

Firm crisp apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
Brown sugar
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Butter
Cornstarch

Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the biscuit dough instructions.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch, stirring until the apples are just tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow the filling to cool slightly.
- Roll out the biscuit dough and cut larger biscuits, placing them on a baking sheet.
- Spoon the apple filling into the center of each biscuit, then fold over or cover with another biscuit, sealing the edges.
- Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish if desired.
