Description

Ingredients

½ cup butter

1 cup white sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ cup all-purpose flour

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon baking powder

3 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup confectioners’ sugar


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt ½ cup of butter over low heat.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of white sugar, followed by 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Mix in ⅓ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, ½ cup of all-purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of baking powder until just blended.
  • Spread the brownie batter in the prepared baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • While the brownies are baking, prepare the frosting by beating together 3 tablespoons of softened butter, 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add in 1 cup of confectioners’ sugar until smooth.
  • Once the brownies are cool, spread the frosting evenly over the top.

Notes
