This Best Homemade Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is easy to make and incredibly delicious, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

3 ripe bananas
mashed (about 1 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup unsalted butter
melted
3/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional
but recommended)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Ensure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor. Feel free to add nuts for additional texture.
