Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, ¾ cup white sugar, and ¾ cup brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time, then stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the chopped pecans.
- In another bowl, prepare the filling by beating together the cream cheese, ½ cup white sugar, 1 egg, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet and make a well in the center of each.
- Fill each well with the cream cheese mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until set. Let them cool before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle some cocoa powder on top before baking.
