1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
- Stir in melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- In another bowl, mix together shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and nuts if using.
- Spread the coconut topping evenly over the chocolate base.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
