Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, granulated sugar, orange zest, and orange juice. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes, then pour it into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.
- To make the ganache, heat dark or semi-sweet chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth.
- Once the posset has set, pour the ganache over the top of each glass and refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes before serving.
