1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the melted butter until well combined.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt, mixing until incorporated.
- Add the granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture and stir until everything is well blended.
- Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and chopped nuts (if using) to create the crumb topping.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the banana bread batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
