Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into rounds.
- In a large pot, combine the butter, brown sugar, water, and salt over medium heat until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the sweet potatoes to the pot, coating them thoroughly with the mixture.
- Transfer the sweet potatoes to a baking dish and pour any remaining sauce over the top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, removing the foil for the last 10 minutes to caramelize the top.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the mixture. Make sure to keep an eye on them while baking to prevent burning.
