1 large egg + 1 large egg yolk

room temperature

1 and ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

1 and ½ cups (255g) chocolate chips


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt until combined.
  • In another bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix well.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  • Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
