1/4 cup light brown sugar

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

melted

1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  • Add the cubed bread to the mixture, gently folding until all the pieces are soaked.
