Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set aside.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute to form a roux.
Gradually pour in milk while whisking continuously until thickened (about 3–4 minutes).
Lower heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until smooth and creamy.
In a skillet, heat beef broth over medium heat. Add sliced roast beef and warm gently for 2–3 minutes until heated through. Do not overcook.
Place warm roast beef onto toasted onion buns.
Drizzle generously with prepared sauce.
Top with warm cheddar cheese sauce.
