skinless chicken breasts (5–8 oz. each)
Salt and pepper
3 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon flour
Fresh parsley

1 cup low sodium chicken broth
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 (1 oz.) packet
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken and set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter, and whisk in the flour to make a roux.
- Slowly add the chicken broth, milk, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and ranch seasoning packet, stirring until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
You can serve this dish over rice or pasta to soak up the creamy sauce.
