Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

softened

¾ cup brown sugar

packed

½ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup Easter M&Ms or candy-coated chocolate eggs


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and Easter M&Ms or candy-coated chocolate eggs.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra festive cookies, you can press a few more Easter M&Ms on top of the cookies before baking.
