Ingredients

Scale

pounds (680 g) flank steak or sirloin

thinly sliced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 large red bell pepper

sliced

1 yellow bell pepper

sliced

1 medium red onion

sliced

2 cups (200 g) broccoli florets

1 cup (100 g) sliced mushrooms

1 medium zucchini

sliced

2 cloves garlic

minced

2 green onions

chopped (for garnish)

⅓ cup (80 ml) soy sauce

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional for spice)

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water

1 cup (150 g) cooked rice or noodles for serving

toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine the flank steak or sirloin, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, smoked paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and cornstarch. Mix well and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  • Heat the remaining olive oil in a Blackstone griddle or large skillet over medium high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, red onion, broccoli florets, mushrooms, zucchini, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce (if using), sesame oil, and the cornstarch-water mixture. Pour the sauce over the stir-fried vegetables and add the beef back to the pan.
  • Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through. Serve over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference or what you have on hand. This recipe is versatile and can be made using chicken or tofu as well.
