1 Packet Instant Yeast 2 ¼ teaspoons
½ tsp Salt
2 tsp Maple Syrup
2 cups Warm Water (480ml)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, instant yeast, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix warm water and maple syrup until the syrup is dissolved.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased bread pan.
- Let it rise for another 30 minutes, then bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
For a softer bread, you can add a tablespoon of olive oil to the dough. Adjust baking time for different ovens as needed.
