Ingredients

½ cup chopped onions

½ cup chopped green bell peppers

23 garlic cloves

1 pound ground beef

ground turkey

or ground Italian Sausage

1 ½ teaspoons Italian Seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 oz pepperoni

2 cups marinara or pizza sauce

14.5 oz canned fire roasted tomatoes

23 cups broth

shredded mozzarella cheese


Instructions

  • In a large pot over medium heat, add the chopped onions and green bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the ground meat, cook until browned and fully cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Add Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and pepperoni, stirring to combine.
  • Pour in the marinara sauce and fire roasted tomatoes, followed by the broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Serve hot, topped with shredded mozzarella cheese if desired.
