Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt sugar over medium heat until it forms a golden amber caramel. Carefully pour it into the bottom of a flan mold.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.
- Pour the pumpkin mixture over the caramel in the mold.
- Place the mold in a larger baking dish filled with hot water (water bath). Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set.
- Allow it to cool, then refrigerate for a few hours. When ready to serve, invert onto a serving plate to reveal the caramel top.
Notes
Make sure to let the flan cool completely before refrigerating for the best texture. You can garnish with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
