Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 medium onion chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (12 ounce) can corn drained
2 cups shredded cheddar divided
32 ounces frozen tater tots
Salt & pepper to taste
Chopped scallions for serving (optional
to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is fully cooked.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, drained corn, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Top with the frozen tater tots and remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped scallions if desired.
Notes
For a crunchy topping, cook a few extra minutes until tater tots are crispy. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables or spices to customize the casserole.
