Ingredients
Unsalted Butter: Softened to room temperature
Granulated Sugar
Large Egg
Vanilla Extract
All-Purpose Flour
Baking Powder
Fine Sea Salt
Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate
Festive Sprinkles
Flaky Sea Salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the large egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and fine sea salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt the semi-sweet or milk chocolate and dip the cooled cookies halfway into the chocolate. Return to the wire rack.
- Sprinkle festive sprinkles on top of the chocolate before it sets. Optionally, sprinkle with flaky sea salt for added flavor.
Notes
For a richer flavor, feel free to use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet or milk chocolate. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
