Description
Indulge in these heavenly Fluffy Nutella Bombs, soft and pillowy dough filled with creamy Nutella, perfect for dessert or a sweet snack.
Ingredients
Scale
1.8 tsp dry yeast
2 cups flour
1/4 cup caster sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
3 tbsp softened butter
Nutella spread
icing sugar for dusting
1 tbsp milk
1 egg yolk
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and dry yeast, letting it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, caster sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and softened butter, kneading until dough is smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into equal pieces (about 8-10).
- Flatten each piece, add a spoonful of Nutella in the center, and roll it into a ball, sealing the edges well.
- Place the dough balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the tops of the dough balls with a mix of egg yolk and 1 tbsp milk.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then dust with icing sugar before serving.
Notes
For best results, ensure that your ingredients are at room temperature and that the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast effectively.
