Garlic Butter Chicken is a mouthwatering dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for any dinner table.
Ingredients
2x 9oz/250g Chicken Breasts
brought close to room temp
1/4 cup / 40g Plain / All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup / 120ml Chicken Stock
6 tbsp / 90g / 3.2oz Unsalted Butter
divided into tbsp chunks
2 cloves of Garlic
minced/finely diced
1 tbsp finely diced Fresh Parsley
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Salt
plus more to taste
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
plus more to taste
1 Lemon
divided into 4 wedges
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Dredge the chicken breasts in flour, shaking off the excess.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and add the chicken; cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden.
- Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Add chicken stock to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon the sauce over them, and transfer to the oven for 15 minutes.
- Once cooked, sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For best results, let the chicken sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking. Adjust seasonings to your preferences.
