- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
Toppings:
- 6 cloves garlic, crushed
- ⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon herbes de Provence
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Activate Yeast:
In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. - Make Dough:
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture, olive oil, and remaining water. Mix until a soft dough forms. - Knead:
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. - First Rise:
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size. - Shape Dough:
Press dough into a greased baking pan. Use your fingers to create dimples across the surface. - Add Toppings:
Drizzle olive oil over the dough. Sprinkle garlic, Parmesan, parsley, onion powder, herbs, salt, and pepper. - Bake:
Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. - Serve:
Let cool slightly, slice, and enjoy warm.
