Ingredients

2¼ teaspoons instant yeast

1½ teaspoons salt

1½ cups warm water

1 tablespoon sugar

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

34 cloves garlic

minced

½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs or chopped rosemary

flaky sea salt


Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • Add the flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth, then place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
  • Create dimples in the dough with your fingers, then sprinkle with minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, herbs, and flaky sea salt.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
