Ghostly Lasagna is a fun and festive twist on the classic dish, perfect for Halloween gatherings. With creamy layers of ricotta and mozzarella shaped like playful ghosts, this lasagna not only delights the eyes but also the palate.
Ingredients
Lasagna noodles
Ricotta cheese
Mozzarella cheese
Spinach
Parmesan cheese
Egg
Marinara sauce
Black olives
Fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, spinach, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce, then place a layer of lasagna noodles over it.
- Spread a portion of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with marinara sauce and a generous amount of mozzarella on top.
- Shape small ghosts out of the remaining mozzarella and place them on top of the last layer. Use black olives for the eyes.
- Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the top and cover with foil.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For an added twist, try layering in other vegetables or different types of cheese. Adjust baking time based on your oven’s efficiency.
