1/4 cup chopped strawberries for glaze


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • In another bowl, mix together 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter, 2 large eggs, 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Transfer the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth out the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • While the bread is baking, prepare the glaze by combining 1 cup of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1/4 cup of chopped strawberries in a bowl.
  • Once the bread has cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.
