¾ cup confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup ground pecans
50 almonds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the unsalted butter and confectioners’ sugar until creamy. Add vanilla extract and salt, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour and ground pecans into the butter mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
- Take small portions of dough and shape them into finger-like forms. Press an almond onto one end of each cookie to resemble a fingernail.
- Use a knife to create knuckle lines on the cookies.
- Place the formed cookies onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
For a gory twist, you can drizzle some red frosting or jam on top to make the cookies look even creepier!
