Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped baking pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared heart-shaped pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.
  • Allow to cool before removing from the pan. Serve as is or decorate with heart-shaped sprinkles, whipped cream, or fresh berries.
