3 1/2 tbsp (50g) unsalted butter (or 2 1/2 tbsp olive oil)

2 garlic cloves

1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or white or other clear vinegar)

1 tbsp soy sauce

light or all purpose

1/3 cup honey (or maple syrup)


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Dredge the chicken breasts in flour, shaking off any excess.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter (or heat olive oil) until sizzling.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in the apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and honey, mixing until well combined.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the chicken, and transfer it to the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving with the sauce drizzled on top.
