These Honey Mustard Chicken Wings are a delicious combination of sweet honey and tangy mustard, perfect for game day or any gathering.
Ingredients
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 pounds chicken wing flats and drumettes
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
freshly black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix cornstarch, cream of tartar, garlic powder, baking soda, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the chicken wings to the dry mixture and coat them evenly.
- Place the coated wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 30 minutes, turning halfway through until wings are golden and crispy.
- Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, mix honey, white wine vinegar, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and yellow mustard to create the sauce.
- Once the wings are done, toss them in the honey mustard sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra sweetness, feel free to add more honey to the sauce. You can also marinate the chicken wings in the sauce for a few hours before baking for added flavor.
