Ingredients

Scale

6 oz (170 g) quality dark chocolate

¼ cup hot cocoa mix

Mini marshmallows if desired

Sprinkles if desired

Other fillings as desired

Instructions

  • Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate into silicone molds, covering the sides about halfway up, and let it set in the refrigerator.
  • Once the chocolate shells are set, take them out of the molds and fill half of them with hot cocoa mix, mini marshmallows, and any additional desired fillings.
  • Heat the edges of the empty chocolate halves slightly to help them adhere when placed on top of the filled halves.
  • Gently press the filled chocolate halves together to form bombs and allow them to set in the refrigerator.
  • To serve, place a hot chocolate bomb in a mug and pour hot milk over it to watch it melt and release its contents.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best results. Experiment with different fillings for unique flavors.
