Ingredients

1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup granulated sweetener of choice
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips of choice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the white whole wheat flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the granulated sweetener, unsweetened applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
