Ingredients
16 ounces spaghetti noodles
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground Italian sausage or pork sausage
salt and pepper to taste
1 small onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
24 ounces marinara sauce
3 Tablespoons butter
8 ounces cream cheese softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the spaghetti noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and butter, allowing it to simmer for a few minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese (or ricotta), and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked spaghetti noodles, half of the meat sauce, and half of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
