Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground beef
4 cloves garlic
minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional
for heat)
3 cups beef broth
2 cups milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
12 oz (340g) pasta (penne
rotini
or fettuccine)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp butter
Fresh parsley
chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the pot and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and milk (or heavy cream), then bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the pasta and Italian seasoning, then cover and cook according to package instructions until the pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Once the pasta is cooked, remove from heat and stir in the grated parmesan cheese and butter until melted and combined.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a creamier texture, use heavy cream instead of milk. You can also add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for added nutrition.
