8 oz cream cheese
softened
2 cups powdered sugar
12 oz white chocolate
divided
1 tablespoon orange zest
1 teaspoon orange extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 drop orange gel food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
- Melt 8 oz of white chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler. Allow to cool slightly.
- Stir the melted chocolate into the cream cheese mixture.
- Add the orange zest, orange extract, vanilla extract, and optional food coloring. Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes, until firm enough to handle.
- Once the mixture is firm, scoop out small amounts and roll into balls.
- Melt the remaining 4 oz of white chocolate and drizzle over the truffles or dip them completely to coat. Let cool until set.
