Ingredients
¾ cup white sugar
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
¾ cup canned pumpkin
¼ cup water
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a muffin tin.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ¾ cup white sugar and ¼ cup vegetable oil.
Add the eggs, ¾ cup canned pumpkin, and ¼ cup water. Mix until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups flour, ¾ teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
Gently fold in ½ cup chocolate chips.
Spoon the batter into the muffin tins, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

For extra flavor, try adding pumpkin pie spice.
