This Rustic Garlic Parmesan Herb Bread is a perfect blend of savory garlic, aromatic herbs, and rich Parmesan cheese, creating a delicious, crusty loaf that’s great for any meal.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon instant dry yeast
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 cup warm water 100-110℉
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
6 cloves minced garlic
2 to 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the warm water, instant dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, rosemary, basil, oregano, and minced garlic.
- Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the risen dough and knead in the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan. Let it rise again for 30 minutes.
- Melt the butter and brush it on top of the loaf before baking.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
Notes
For a more intense flavor, add fresh herbs or more garlic. Let the bread cool completely before slicing for best results.
