Its versatility makes it the perfect recipe to elevate pasta, rice, or fresh salads.
Ingredients
1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt, to taste
6 cloves garlic, finely minced
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon caper brine
2 tablespoons cold butter, cut into 4 equal pieces, divided
⅓ cup chopped flat-leaf parsley, divided
1 teaspoon water (optional, to adjust consistency)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add shrimp, lightly season with salt, and cook for 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque.
Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes; cook for 1 minute, avoiding burning the garlic.
Deglaze with lemon juice and caper brine.
Add butter and stir until melted into a light sauce.
Fold in parsley for freshness, adding a splash of water if needed to loosen the sauce.
Serve immediately with pasta, rice, or salad.
Notes
Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor and texture.
A splash of white wine can be added for extra depth.
Slightly undercook shrimp at first—they’ll finish in the sauce.
