1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 medium onion chopped
1 clove garlic minced
1.5 cups marinara sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat, then add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
- Add the minced garlic and ground beef, cooking until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
- Combine the cooked penne with the beef mixture, then transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve warm.
