Description
This Smash Burgers with Baconnaise Recipe combines juicy, crispy beef patties with a creamy, smoky bacon mayonnaise for a flavor explosion in every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend for best flavor)
Salt and pepper
to taste
4 slices of cheese (American
cheddar
or your choice)
4 burger buns
Lettuce
tomato
pickles
and onion (optional toppings)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
4 slices cooked bacon
chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, chopped bacon, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to create the baconnaise. Set aside.
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into loose balls.
- Place the beef balls on the hot skillet and using a flat spatula, smash each ball down to form a patty. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy, then flip the patties, add cheese on top, and cover until the cheese is melted.
- Toast the burger buns on the skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading baconnaise on the bottom bun, adding the patty, and your choice of toppings, and then capping it off with the top bun.
Notes
For the best flavor, use high-fat content beef. Adjust the baconnaise ingredients to taste for a creamier or smokier flavor.
