1 cup sour cream
10.5 ounce cream of mushroom soup
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt optional
1 pound smoked sausage sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded hash browns, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, 2 cups of cheddar cheese, pepper, and salt if using.
- Fold in the sliced smoked sausage until evenly distributed.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
