Ingredients
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup buttermilk
2 large eggs
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp green food coloring
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, cocoa powder, green food coloring, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined and smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, layer and frost the cakes with cream cheese frosting to create a delightful treat.
Notes
For a more intense green color, adjust the amount of green food coloring. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
