1 box (15.25 oz) strawberry cake mix
8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) butter
melted and slightly cooled
1 large egg
4 ounces cream cheese
softened
Optional: powdered sugar or pink granulated sugar
30 chocolate Hershey’s Kisses
unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, egg, and softened cream cheese until well blended.
- Chill the dough for about 15 minutes in the refrigerator for easier handling.
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator and scoop out tablespoon-sized portions. Flatten each portion slightly, place a Hershey’s Kiss in the center, and wrap the dough around the chocolate to form a ball.
- Roll the balls in powdered sugar or pink granulated sugar if desired, and place them on the prepared baking sheet spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden on the edges. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra touch, dust finished cookies with more powdered sugar before serving.
