5 oz butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the 5 oz of butter and 3/4 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the 1 cup of chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the top with 1/4 cup of chocolate chips.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding chopped nuts or using dark chocolate chips. Ensure the bananas are very ripe for optimal sweetness.
