These Sweet & Spicy Salmon Bowls are a delightful mix of flavors, featuring tender salmon cubes glazed with a maple syrup-infused sauce, served over rice and topped with fresh veggies.
Ingredients
1 lb salmon skin removed
cubed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 tablespoon maple syrup
Cooked plain rice
Thinly sliced cucumber
Sliced avocado
Sriracha sauce
Mayonnaise
Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine the salmon cubes with salt, smoked paprika, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil and butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned salmon cubes and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Drizzle maple syrup over the salmon and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes until salmon is cooked through.
- Serve the baked salmon over a bed of cooked rice, topped with cucumber slices, avocado, sriracha sauce, mayonnaise, and sesame seeds.
Notes
For added crunch, consider topping with sliced radishes or scallions. Adjust the amount of sriracha according to your spice preference.
