1 lb chicken breast

2 tbsp butter

1 cup soy sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 medium yellow onion sliced

8 oz mushroom sliced

2 tbsp butter

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

2 slices Monterey Jack Cheese


Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the marinated chicken with salt, black pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  • In a pan, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and top with sliced onions and mushrooms.
  • Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the vegetables, and place two slices of Monterey Jack cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese has melted.
