1 tablespoon honey


Instructions

  • In a large saucepan, combine the water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Add the walnut halves to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Continue boiling for 5 minutes without stirring.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter, vanilla extract, sea salt, and any optional flavor add-ins.
  • Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the walnuts are nicely coated and the mixture is thick.
  • Remove from heat and spread the candied walnuts onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
