1 carrot finely diced

2 celery stalks finely diced

4 cloves garlic minced

1/4 cup tomato paste

1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

1/2 cup whole milk

1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parmesan and basil for serving


Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and ground turkey, cooking until the turkey is browned.
  • Mix in the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, whole milk, and dry white wine (or chicken broth). Season with dried basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer the sauce for about 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve over your choice of pasta, garnished with fresh parmesan and basil.
