Ingredients
300 grams of pasta (penne or fusilli work well)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion
finely chopped
2 cloves garlic
minced
400 grams ground lamb or beef
1 can (400 grams) diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup yogurt (for serving)
Fresh parsley
chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and ground lamb or beef to the skillet. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the meat sauce, mixing well.
- Serve warm with a dollop of yogurt on top and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
